Overview:
Learners will introduce one of the seven Deai students to a small group, being sure to omit the name of the student. Other members of the group will attempt to guess which of the seven students it is.

The teacher explains that the class will be divided into small groups of 4 or 5 and each member of the group will have some time to prepare an introduction of one of the Deai students. The introduction will be delivered to the group who will try to guess who is being introduced.

The teacher divides the class into groups of 4 or 5 and secretly allocates a Deai student to each group member. Alternatively, learners might draw a name from a hat.

Learners work individually for about 20 minutes to prepare an introduction making reference to personal details such as age, year level, family, residence, nationality, hobbies, club activities and physical descriptions.

Hint: Write a check list of the categories on the whiteboard.

Learners form small groups and take turns to introduce their Deai friend.

Other members of the small group listen carefully and at the conclusion of the introduction "guess who"!
