寝る前に、たいてい本を読みます。よく読むのは、野鳥の本など自然科学系の本です。小説も好きです。好きな作家は赤川次郎で、いちばん好きな作品は『ふたり』です。本屋でおもしろそうな本を見つけては買ってきます。はやっているものや評判になっているものを読むこともあります。マンガは雑誌を毎週読んでいます。それ以外のマンガはあまり読みません。
ベッドの中で本を読んでいると自然に眠くなってくるので、電気を消して寝ます。

Before I go to sleep I usually read for a while. I like reading books about wild birds and nature. And I love fiction, too, especially mysteries by Akagawa Jiro. My favorite is Futari [The Couple]. If I find an interesting book at the bookstore, I often buy it. I often read books that people are talking about or that are popular among my friends. I read the manga weekly magazine but not many other manga.
Reading in bed makes me drowsy, so I turn off the light and go to sleep.
