夕食は6時からですが、1年生は5時45分ごろから配膳を始めます。部活のある人は、部活が終わってから食事をします。7時半の点呼までは外出が許可されています。時間がある人は、コンビニ（コンビニエンス・ストア）やスーパーに行って、雑誌を立ち読みしたり、お菓子やジュースなどを買ったりしますが、わたしは部活があるのであまり外出できません。
点呼のとき、寮生は必ず集合しなければなりません。このとき連絡事項などが伝えられます。点呼後は、9時まで自由時間ですが、外出はできません。おふろに入ったり、友だちの部屋にお菓子を持ちよっておしゃべりをしたりしてくつろぎます。
わたしは、バスケ部の練習がきついので、練習後は部屋で少し休憩して、点呼後に晩ご飯を食べます。寮の食事はどれもおいしいのですが、ハヤシライスがいちばんの好物です。

Supper starts at 6:00, but the first-year students go to the dining hall at 5:45 to distribute the dishes and the trays. Those who have club activity eat after club practice is over. We can leave the dorm until roll call at 7:30. Those who have time go out to the konbini (convenience store) or the supermarket, take a look at the magazines, or buy sweets or drinks, but I have club, so I rarely get to go out.
Dormitory students have to assemble for roll call. There are usually various announcements. After roll call is over until 9:00 is free time, but we cannot leave the dormitory. We use the time to take baths and visit our friend's rooms to share snacks, chit-chat, and relax.
I'm always exhausted after basketball practice, so I rest for a while in my room and eat my supper after roll-call is over. The dormitory food is always good, but hashed-beef with rice is my favorite.
