Overview:
After confirming their basic geographic knowledge of Japan and the world, students will plan a trip to visit one of the Deai students in connection with the TJF lesson plan "Journey to Visit the Seven Deai Students." Students will also investigate the means by which the Deai students commute to school and compare the nature of transportation facilities in Japan with that for their own culture(s).

Students confirm the location of Japan on a map of the world, and note that the center of a world map differs depending on culture.	Activity 1
