Takarabako : An Informational Publication for Japanese Language Teachers
(quarterly since September 2004)

Takarabako is a quarterly English-language publication (June, September, December, March) that provides information useful to Japanese-language teachers. It is distributed to elementary and secondary teachers engaged in Japanese language education, education for understanding Japan and global education, mainly in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K, and U.S. Each issue introduces and provides variety of resources and information, as well as various ideas and teaching plans for using these materials in the classroom. The content will include material through which elementary and secondary school students can broaden their awareness of language and culture and also of themselves, through understanding of Japan and Japanese.
