週に2、3回、あき時間を利用して、コンピュータ・ルームでメール（Eメール）をチェックします。メールの相手は、海外に留学したり引っ越したりした友だちやAPAC（Asia Pacific Activities Conference。韓国、中国、フィリピン、日本のインターナショナルスクール6校から構成されるスポーツリーグ）で知りあった海外の友だちです。メールはほとんど英語で書きます。手紙でのやりとりは少なくなりました。メールのほうが楽だし、すぐ届くので便利です。

Two or three times a week I go to the computer room in my free time and check my e-mail. Most of my e-mail comes from friends who have gone abroad to study or moved away from the Osaka area as well as friends from overseas I made through APAC (Asia Pacific Activities Conference, a sports league made up of six international schools in Korea, China, the Philippines, and Japan). I write most of my e-mail in English. We correspond less and less by regular letter. E-mail is really so much easier--it's no trouble to write and it gets there almost as soon as you send it.
