家に帰ってから、時間があるときは、ギターや三線の練習をしたり、曲をつくったりします。ぼくは、いつも人と違うことをしたいと思っています。音楽でもそうです。自分だけの音やリズムをつくりだしたいと思っています。理論や決まりごとにしばられたり、技術だけにとらわれたりする音楽は、やりたくありません。宇宙を感じさせるようなスケールの大きな音楽をつくっていきたいです。

If I have time when I get home from school, I often practice guitar or sanshin or write songs. I always want to do things differently from other people, and music is no exception. I'd like to come up with my own distinctive sounds and rhythms. I don't want to make music that's all tied up in theory or rules or is too preoccupied with technique. I want to create a kind of big-scale music that gives people a sense of the vastness of the universe.
