Message from the photographer

For the most part my brother is scary, but when he’s in a good mood, he’ll ask me, “Do you have any questions with your school work? Everything OK?” But because that rarely happens, when it does, I’m taken aback. My brother apparently wants to go to a college specializing in music. When my brother plays music, he goes way too far into his own world and plays really loud, which can be annoying. But I envy him for having something that he can be so absorbed in. One day, I opened the door to his room to find him studying. I was really surprised. I then remembered that he’s preparing for his college entrance exams. It made me kind of sad. I still hope, though, that he’s able to go the school he’s got his mind set on.

About the subject

The reason I decided to photograph my brother is because he’s in his last year of high school, and may be moving away from home soon. If that happens, this will be the last chance for me to capture his everyday life.
