Halloween

Halloween

2012.11.09

mio_oct_halloween01.pngI went to Disneyland in October to get a taste of Halloween. Disneyland gets very festive around Halloween, and was packed with visitors dressed as Disney characters. Jack-o'-lanterns displayed around the park and characters dressed up as ghosts gave the place a different feel from the usual, and I was able to enjoy a Disneyland experience unique to Halloween season. Halloween is accepted in Japan as a part of U.S. popular culture, and we've come to see signs of it Japanese life in recent years. At school, even, we went around trick-or-treating on Oct. 31, exchanging treats that we'd made or bought.
