My name is Lauren. I was
born in California and moved to Pittsburgh when I was 2
years old. Now I'm 17 years old, a senior. I go to high
school by bus everyday. I participate in many clubs such
as National Art Honor Society, National Japanese Honor Society,
and lacrosse club. It is not lacrosse season now, but we
practice hard. We practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
for an hour for now, but when the season comes in March,
practice will be harder.

There are five people in
my family: my parents, my brother, my sister and I.
My father's name is Joseph, and he is 43 years old. He works
as a director in the emergency room at Saint Clair Hospital.
He used to play lacrosse when he was in a college. Because
he likes playing lacrosse, he suggested that I play it too.
My mother Karen is 38 years old. She's been going to a college
for 3 years to become a nurse. She is going to graduate
in May. She's strict and kind. I sometimes go shopping with
her, and we enjoy it.
My brother Tarik is 10 years old. His nickname is T. He
is in a forth grade class now. T is active and likes talking
and sometimes irritates me, but I love him. He plays video
games when he has time. He almost always wins when I play
it with him. I think he is very good at playing video games.
My little sister Caitlin is 15 years old, in the ninth grade.
She is outgoing and straightforward. She likes playing French
horn. She learned how to play it when she was in the fourth
grade and played it at various performances a couple years
ago. She's still practicing it now.

I've found many things important
in my life. Currently my most important things are Placebo's
CDs. I went to the shopping mall with my friend, Ryoko last
weekend and bought Placebo's "Once More with Feeling." I
love that CD because the music on it is very cool and nice.
I listen to it everyday while doing my homework. Every time
I do it, my mother gets angry, but I just ignore her and
keep listening. Placebo is a British band. They formed in
1996 and performed concerts in Europe. I wish they would
come to the United States someday.

I have lived in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania for 15 years. Currently I live in Shaler Area.
Pittsburgh is the second biggest city in Pennsylvania. There
are many buildings in Pittsburgh. For instance, downtown
there are museums called Heinz Field and Andy Warhol. My
favorite spot is Strip District: it's called Strip. I go
shopping with my mother in Strip on my weekends off. There
are a lot of shops there. My favorite shop is called Lotus.
Lotus is a Chinese food shop but has Japanese food. I went
there to choose a gift for my friend, Kara 3 years ago.
We bought many kinds of Asian food there. Kara became sick
when she ate a goose egg. I felt sorry for her but I find
it kind of funny now.
