幸華ちゃんの試合にいどむ姿勢はいつも冷静沈着。「相手がどんなわざを仕かけてくるか、とても楽しみ」と余裕を見せています。強い相手があらわれても少しも動じない彼女は、2003年秋の2つの大会で優勝しています。
Sachika approaches her matches with calm and composure. Unfluttered, she says, "I'm always excited to see what sort of techniques my opponent will reveal." Even a strong rival does not shake her; she came in first at two tournaments in the fall of 2003.
試合の合間も後輩に戦術のアドバイス。これからは小さな後輩たちを全国選手に育て上げるのが「夢」という彼女。「自分が勝ったときより後輩が勝ったときのほうがうれしい」と言っていました。
Giving advice to younger players in between games. She says her dream is to help train younger players for national competition: "When younger players win, I'm even happier than when I win myself."
定時制高校全国大会２連覇の威厳ある後ろ姿。2002年の全国定時制高校の大会で中国に練習に行っていた選手に勝って優勝し、2003年は圧倒的な強さで優勝しました。
The dignified appearance of someone who has two consecutive Teitairen (Night School Athletics League) National Championships under her belt. In 2002 at the Teitairen Nationals, she came in first, winning against a player who had been training in China, and in 2003, she achieved an overwhelming victory.
じゃれあう仲よし姉弟、しかし卓球に関してはライバルなのです。さらに、２人にとってのライバルは、2人のトレーナーでもあるお母さん。まさに卓球家族なのです。家族で卓球ができるなんてとてもうらやましいですね。
Brother and sister, they like to tease each other and fool around, but they're rivals when it comes to table tennis. Their mother, who is their trainer, is their even-greater rival. That makes for quite the table tennis family. I'm envious that they can all play table tennis together.
クラスメイトでこのコンテストでは先輩モデルの淑恵さんから、応募用紙記入のアドバイスを受けています。エレガント対スポーティで対照的な2人ですが、とても仲よしです。

   今年の夏、中学の後輩たちが中学校体育連盟全道大会で、5年ぶりに団体でベスト8に入ってくれたことが、わたしにとってすごくうれしかったです。自分が全国大会で優勝するよりも何倍もうれしいできごとでした。うれしくてめったなことで泣かないわたしが泣いてしまいました。
   今、わたしは高校4年生で、就職活動をしています。でもよい仕事が全然見つかりません……。だから最近は自分は女だし、「無理して就職しなくてもいいかなぁー」なんて思っています。「バイトでいいやー」みたいな。高校を卒業したら、平凡なくらしをしたいです。何になりたいとか、そういう夢もないし、わたしはずっと地元でくらすことを望んでいます。なんといってもわたしは地元が一番好きだから。
   わたしは今、ダイエットにも挑戦しています。目標はあと5kg落とすことです。これ以上太ったら病気になると親におどされたので。ウエストもかなりヤバイ状態だし。ナイスボディーをめざしてがんばっています!!

I don't give up easily. I hate to lose. But I do have trouble making up my mind. I'm inconsistent. I'm kind and gentle, but when I get angry I really fly off the handle. I'm an optimist and I try hard.

Future ambition
I want to coach children to go to the table tennis nationals. If possible, I want to get married early.

I was really delighted when this summer, students from my old junior high school made it to the top 8 as a team at the Junior High School Hokkaido Tournament for the first time in five years. I was even happier than when I won the championships at Teitairen. I rarely cry, but I did then.
      Right now, I'm in my fourth year of night high school, and I'm job hunting. But I'm having trouble finding a good job . . . So recently, I've been thinking, I'm a woman, so maybe I don't need to overexert myself to find work. I think that maybe I'll just take a part-time job. After graduating from high school, I just want to live an ordinary life. I don't have huge aspirations to become anything, and I want to remain in my hometown. After all, I love it here.
      I'm currently on a diet. My goal is to lose five more kilograms because my parents have warned me that if I gain any more weight, I'll put my health at risk. My waist is pretty embarrassing, too. I'm going to try my best to slim down to look sharp!

    You are truely inspiring. I like your favourite phrase. I recently studied Hokkaido in my Japanese class. I must say that I plan on visiting there in the near future. Maybe I might run in to you! Hopefully not while I am driving! Just kidding!
