My name is Erica and I am 15 and currently a grade 10 student at Harry Ainlay. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta on January 4, 1990. I have one sibling named Bryan which is 17 years old. I love to play sports, watch TV, listen to music, be with my friends and travel.
      Hockey is one of my favourite sports. I've played Hockey since I was 7 and have always loved to play. I play during the winter with an all girls team and we practice two times a week and play one game a week. Sometimes we get to go out of town and play with other cities. Last year we went to Calgary to play the top Alberta teams and ended up in 1st place.
      Basketball is another favourite sport of mine. Since I was 9 I played basketball and have grown to love it. I play basketball from November to end of March on a community league and school team. During our community league we would practice once a week and play a game once a week. We also went to Calgary for provincials and won gold, defeating the best teams of Alberta. This year was my first year in high school so I played on the junior women's team. We would practice everyday after school unless we had a game. During spring league we would practice twice a week and play in many tournaments. This year we will be going to Regina, Saskatchewan; and Las Vegas, California (in U.S). I also tried out for the Alberta team which is the top 12 girls in Alberta. I made the first cut which was the top 30 girls, but we have not had the final cut yet.
      Running is something I do with a couple of friends. I do Cross Country Running during September and October; I do Track and Field during April and May. I am training for 3000 m (3 km) run for Track and Field and I usually practice three times a week. I also am training for a half marathon (22 km) with a friend and we run whenever we have time.
      When ever I have time I will be with my friends. During the summer we usually go to movies, go shopping or we're at someone's house. During the winter we snowboard a lot at a near by hill. Sometimes I will go to the mountains with my family. If I'm not doing anything I watch T.V or anime. My favourite T.V shows are The O.C., One Tree Hill, Cold Case, Lost, Jack and Bobby, Amazing Race, and Gilmore Girls. My favourite anime is Naruto and Initial D. I also love to listen to music. I listen to lots of music while I am doing my homework and I love to go to concerts. I recently went to the Simple Plan concert and The Killers concert. They were both great concerts. I am also going to go to Green Day concert. I love to travel and wish to visit the whole world. The furthest I've been outside of my hometown is Disney Land, California. Every summer my family and I go to Vancouver to visit our relatives.
      My love for sports, travel, music and television are large aspects of my life. All of these things makes my life very busy but enjoyable.
