両親、弟、ぼくの4人家族です。夏休暇家族と山に行きました。母は香港人です。父は台湾人です。今オーストラリアに住んでいます。

There are my parents, my little brother, and I in our four-person family. During summer vacation I went with my family to the mountains. My mother is from Hong Kong. My father is Taiwanese. We live in Australia.

I made "inarizushi." I love "inarizushi."

これは、ぼくが生まれた台湾で撮った写真です。写真の高層タワーは台北101と呼ばれていて、今のところ世界で一番高いビルです。名前のとおり、101階まであります。

This photo was taken from Taiwan, the country where I was born. The skyscraper in the photo is called Taipei 101, currently the tallest building in the world. It has one hundred and one levels as you can see from its name.

これはオーストラリアのシドニー港で撮った写真です。フェリーに乗ってシドニー港をめぐるのはすばらしいです。でも、実はぼくは１度しかフェリーに乗ったことがありません。

This photo was taken at Sydney Harbour in Australia. It is a great way to go onto a ferry and tour the Sydney Harbour. But honestly I had only been onto the ferry once.

自己紹介

はじめまして。僕の名前はジェイソンです。今十六才で、高校一年生です。誕生日は十一月三日です。たつ年です。台湾で生まれました。台湾からオーストラリアに移民しました。中国語と台湾語と英語と日本語を話せます。英語はちょっと難しいですよ。
   僕はテニスがとくいです。毎日の午後友達と父と弟とテニスをします。そして、僕はクラシックな音楽が好きです。時々、ピアノをひきます。ピアノは楽しいです。暇な時公園で散歩をします。数学が好きです。とても面白いです。
   僕は六人家族です。祖父と祖母と父と母と弟と僕がいます。祖父と祖母と父は台湾人で、母は香港人です。今祖父と祖母は台湾に住んでいます。父と母と弟と僕はオーストラリアに住んでいます。弟の名前はアレックスです。今十三才で、とてもうるさいです。コンピューターゲームと勉強が大好きです。勉強が好きなのはかわっていますね。僕は日本料理が大好きです。さしみと天ぷらはおいしいですね。たまに日本料理屋に行きます。
   毎日、七時に起きます。そして、朝ご飯を食べます。八時ごろ家を出て、学校に行きます。学校はつまらないです。三時にバスで家に帰って、十分ぐらいかかります。三時半に勉強します。その後で友達とテニスをします。そして、シャワーをあびます。六時半ごろ、晩ご飯を食べて、テレビを見ます。それから、本と新聞を読みます。時々図書館に行きます。夜は十時に寝ます。
去年夏休みに家族と台湾に行きました。面白かったです。祖父と祖母を訪れて、買い物をしました。新しいプラスマテレビを買いました。でも、ちょっと高かったです。
   どうぞよろしくおねがいします。

インターネットでとてもいい日本の写真を見ました。気づいたことを書きます。
・水島さんが学校に着いて靴を履きかえるのがおもしろいと思いました。学校には一人ひとりに下駄箱があるんですね。オーストラリアの学校には本を入れるロッカーしかありません。
・水島さんの学校は季節ごとに制服があるので驚きました。オーストラリアや台湾では夏服と冬服しかありません。
・ぼくの朝食がパン2枚だけなのに対して、水島さんの朝食は色とりどりでおいしそうでうらやましいと思いました。
・大石くんは英語を読むのは大変だと言っていますが、ぼくもそう思います。大石くんのお父さんが「みんな平等」という考えを持っていることに驚きました。ほかの家族はそう思っていないと思いますが、ぼくは気に入りました。
・ぼくはお風呂で本を読んだことはありません。リラックスするのにいい方法だと思いました。これから流行るかもしれません。
・日本にも洋式の家があるのがすごいと思いました。オーストラリアには日本式の家はほとんどありません。
・自転車は環境にやさしいので、日本人が自転車を使うのはいいことだと思います。オーストラリアやほかの国も日本から学ぶべきだと思います。
・日本のスーパーマーケットではゼリー、プリン、オーストラリアでは見たことのない飲み物などおいしそうなものが売られていました。ほかにも何かわかりませんがおいしそうなものがありました。

Introduction

My name is Jason. I'm currently sixteen years old going on seventeen. I was born in Taiwan where I kept two stray dogs as pet. They are cute and there was nothing wrong with them. I went to Australia after I graduated from primary school.
      The first school in Australia I went to was Chatswood Intensive English Centre where I learned all the basics of English. Then I went to Killara High School for my secondary education. It is a great school except at that time I did not know much English so I only made friend with four non Aussie people. One French, one Colombian, one Cantonese and one Japanese. But after two years, my English started to improve and surprisingly I began to pass my English exam.
      Australia is a good place to live, especially Sydney, but in any way I still like Taiwan better. I do not know why. Maybe it is because I grew up there and I already used to the culture. There are more foods and you can buy things cheaper.
      Anyway, there are also a lot of restaurants around the place I live now and after I tried all of them I think the Japanese restaurants are the best.

I've seen some wonderful photos of Japan on the internet and I've made some observation below:
・It is interesting what Mizushima have mentioned that she changes her shoes when she arrives at school and the school provides a shoes locker for each student. In Australia we only get lockers for books.
・It is amazing to see that Mizushima has different school uniforms for each season. There are only summer and winter uniform in Australia or in Taiwan.
・Mizushima has colourful and tasty food for breakfast, compare to my two pieces of bread, she is so lucky.
・I agree with Oishi that it is not an easy stuff to read in English. I am surprised that Oishi's dad, Kazunori, is a true believer of "all were created equal" which compare to most of the other families it is quite unusual and I like it.
・I've never try to read a book when I am taking a bath. I think Oishi's method is quite a good way to relax. It might turn out to be a new fad.
・It is cool that Japanese also have western style houses. It is rare to find a Japanese house in Australia though.
・It is nice to see that Japanese use bicycles a lot. It is a good thing because bicycle does not produce any pollution to the environment. Other countries like Australia should learn from Japan.
・In Japan, supermarkets sell tasty food such as a jelly, pudding, specially packed drinks in which I have never seen in Australia, and some other unknown stuffs which also look delicious too.
