帰りの電車では、疲れて眠っているか、友だちとケータイ（携帯電話）でメール（Eメール）のやりとりをしています。メールは、アメフットの仲間たちや地元の友だちと、1日50件以上やりとりしています。用事があるというよりも、ふつうのおしゃべりみたいな感じです。アメフットの仲間たちとは、部活を引退してからメールのやりとりをすることが多くなりました。たとえば、こんなメールをやりとりしています。
今日クラブ疲れたな〜(*o*;)。明日もがんばろう＼(^o^)／
明日ひま？ひまやったら、アメ村行かへん？
明日の予定教えて。オレ忘れたもんで！あほやわ、オレは！(>_<;)

On my way home in the train I usually take a nap because I'm so worn out, or else swap e-mail with my friends by keitai (mobile phone). On a typical day I exchange over fifty messages, mostly with my football buddies or friends in my town. It's not that we've got anything special to tell each other; it's just like chatting idly the way we would if we were together. I've been swapping messages with my football teammates more frequently since we retired from the team. Here are some of examples:
Today's practice was really exhausting, huh?! (*o*;) Let's hit it hard again tomorrow! ＼(^o^)／
You free tomorrow? Wanna go to Ame-mura?
["Ame-mura" is short for "Amerika Mura" (America Village), a shopping mall in Osaka.]
What tomorrow's schedule again? I forgot! What a dope I am! (>_<;)
