撮影期間は、1999年5月から2001年4月までの2年間です。ただし、それ以前に撮影された写真や主人公が高校を卒業してから撮影もしくは録画した写真や動画も一部含まれています。2001年4月には、主人公7名が東京に集まり、全員で写真撮影およびビデオ撮影を行いました。
The photographs were taken over a period of about two years, from May 1999 to April 2001. In some cases, the actual photography and taping of the messages were done prior to that period or after the students had graduated from high school. In April 2001, the seven Deai students were invited to Tokyo where they met for the first time for group photographs and to film the video segments.
